Pacific County Clerk Court Records

The Pacific County Clerk maintains all Superior Court case records filed in the county. That includes civil matters, criminal felonies, family law, probate, and other Superior Court filings. The Clerk's office website at pacificcountyclerk.com provides a document request system with an integrated payment portal so you can order records online.

To request Pacific County court documents, submit your request to clerk@co.pacific.wa.us. The office will reply with the total cost. Payment must be made by 3:00 p.m. on the day of the request. After paying, send confirmation to clerk@co.pacific.wa.us. Requests submitted after 3:00 p.m. are processed the next business day. Note that certified copies cannot be emailed. They are mailed only. If you need copies mailed outside the United States, you must include a self-addressed envelope with postage and mail payment directly to the Clerk.

Fee schedule for Pacific County court records: Certified copies are $5.00 for the first page and $1.00 for each additional page. Standard copies are $0.50 per page. Emailed copies are $0.25 per page. Certified copies must be mailed. One thing to note: Certificates of Dissolution are mailed directly to the Washington State Department of Health, not through the Clerk's office.

Pacific County Historical Records

The Washington State Digital Archives holds historical Pacific County records including marriage records from 1872 to 1947 and from 1996 to 2025. The collection has 16,703 records. You can search by groom or bride name. After the Washington Marriage Equality Act took effect in December 2012, the archives use Person A and Person B rather than groom and bride.

The Washington State Digital Archives holds over 21 million digitized government records from counties across the state. It is a free resource and a good place to start when looking for older Pacific County documents.

The Digital Archives marriage collection covers two periods: 1872 to 1947 and 1996 to 2025. Records from the gap period between 1947 and 1996 may need to be requested directly from the County Auditor or from the state vital records office.

Pacific County Public Records Requests

For general Pacific County government records that are not court files, the county follows RCW 42.56, the Washington Public Records Act. Contact the relevant county department directly through the county website. Each department has a designated public records officer who must respond within five business days.

Standard copy fees are $0.15 per page for paper copies under state guidelines. For large requests, ask for a fee estimate before the department starts copying. You can also inspect records in person for free before deciding what you need copies of. The Auditor's office handles recorded land documents including deeds, mortgages, and marriage licenses for Pacific County.

For vital records including birth and death certificates, contact the Washington State Department of Health in Olympia. Pacific County does not issue birth and death certificates directly. Those are state-level records.
